Authentic hand clapping exercise / Beginning
Unit Plan - Food - opening input activity
Presentational: combine chant with hand clapping and, later on, jumping
Interpersonal language: Express likes/dislikes (food)
Activity: In pairs, groups of 3, or whole class, students clap hands to the syllables
of the word “chocolate”. With more practice, combine jumps with clapping.
