What's the Big Idea? What Language Programs Can Do!
-with Jessica Bradley
Every minute in our classroom counts. Let’s use our valuable class time to create an experience for students that makes sense to them and enables them to understand and use the target language. We will look at the big picture to get a realistic sense of what we can expect from students and we will explore the importance of thematic planning, coherence, proficiency targets and articulation in and across world language programs. Curriculum Writing Days June 23, 24, 25, 2015 - free registration link!

All Aboard! Active Learning Stations You Can Do!
-with Sarah Beste
Our world language students stay engaged when they are active. Let’s show them where they can go with what they can do as they work in stations on each of the communication modes: interpersonal, presentational, and interpretive. Carefully set-up stations can provide students with the tools they need to communicate and collaborate with confidence. This session will provide you with tips and tools for effective differentiation through stations activities. Click for the activity folder here!

If You Can Imagine It, You Can Do It  -   Stories: Moving Through the Modes
-with Carley Goodkind
Stories can take us everywhere! Infuse your curriculum with stories and the rich language and cultural experiences they offer us. You will walk away from this session with engaging and effective strategies in all three modes of communication that you can adapt to your specific teaching context. There will be time to share your ideas with other participants, too, so bring your imagination with you!
